About
Practical Pedagogy, the blog, is an original idea stemming from a practical need. Piano teachers are asking questions about how BEST to execute their craft. Practical Pedagogy intends to address pedagogical obstacles from an experiential standpoint, based on solid pedagogical knowledge. This blog was created to inform new teachers, offer an outlet to veteran teachers, and overall, improve our communal standard for teaching practices.
As you read these posts and blogs, approach them accordingly:
- To teach IS to know.
- To create IS to discover.
- To share IS to love.
Put into action, you will share the love of music with your students by discovering new ways to create inspiring teaching opportunities. But the root of this cycle must be knowledge. Thus, Practical Pedagogy. Freely take ideas shared here and mold them to best fit your needs!
Practical Pedagogy is a work in progress. The blog is phase 1. Coming soon: question and answer forums. Teachers will collaborate with stories, ideas, experiences, knowledge, and much more. The sky’s the limit here! Subscribe in order to receive the most current updates.
